Our school council is developed through our Building The Kingdom programme which incorporates representation with both an eco and healthy schools focus. BTK aims to be the voice of the children about things that matter to them. The council is supported by Mrs N Zaman. Pictures of council members are displayed at the front of the school so that all the children, parents and staff know who they are. Members serve on the council for the whole of the academic year and really enjoy their time on the council.

- Finding ideas and suggestions from the children for our playgrounds
- Send representatives to the Handsworth YPP (Young Peoples’ Parliament)
- Environmental projects/forums
- Being involved in showing prospective parents around our school
- Being involved in the interview process for new members of staff
- Visits to other schools
